Take care in the heat
The weather is forecast to be very warm for the next week. While this brings opportunities to explores Hounslow's great green spaces, we should all be careful to enjoy the weather responsibly.
Warm weather can impact vulnerable groups, including older people and those with underlying health conditions. Please take care to protect yourself and others from the potential risks of extreme weather.
People sleeping rough can also suffer severe consequences during hot weather due to the lack of shelter and access to water. If you're worried about someone you see, please contact the Streetlink team who can offer them support.
It only takes a few days of warm weather to increase the risk of fires in our parks. A small spark can ignite grass, shrubs, or litter and any fire can quickly get out of control.
Please remember:
- Do not have barbecues, including disposable barbecues, in open spaces or balconies
- Throw rubbish away properly
- Dispose of cigarettes and matches carefully
