Anyone who is registered to vote can apply for a postal vote online. The deadline to return applications to vote by post or written notifications of changes to existing postal or proxy arrangements is 5pm on Tuesday, 21 April.
Make sure you have accepted photo ID and bring it along to vote in person. Remember, you can still use your photo ID if it’s expired, as long as the photo still looks like you.
If you don’t have an accepted form photo ID, you can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate. The deadline to apply online ahead of the May election is 5pm on Tuesday, 28 April.
If you’re voting at your local polling station you can find it online. You don't need a poll card to vote but it can help to speed things up if you do.
Our friendly polling station staff will welcome you and support anyone with accessibility needs. Find out more about the support available at polling stations on our website.
