RSV vaccine for people aged 75 and over
The Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccine programme has recently been expanded to include all adults aged 75 and over and anyone living in a care home for older adults.
RSV is a common cause of coughs and colds. Infections usually get better by themselves but can sometimes be serious for older adults, especially those with lung or heart conditions.
If you are newly eligible you can book your free NHS vaccination with your GP.

Stay safe from ticks when walking
As the weather improves, many people will enjoy a walk in one of Hounslow's many green spaces.
One thing to think about on these walks is how to avoid tick bites, which increase from April onwards. In some cases tick bites can lead to Lyme disease, so it's important to stay safe.
Walk on paths, avoid dense vegetation and wear light-coloured clothes so ticks can be seen and removed easily.
After a walk you can carry out a tick check for you, your family and pets to make sure no one has been bitten and still has a tick attached.
