Come to an event at Hounslow House from 10am to 2pm on Thursday, 5 March for a celebration of how our diverse communities come together to provide support and opportunities for women and girls.
Expect insightful discussions about how we can work together to promote gender equality.
The day’s packed programme includes opportunities to network with community organisations and speakers who’ll be exploring how volunteering can transform lives and create new horizons for women.
Volunteering can be great for your mental and physical health, as well as supporting women in your community who need help with theirs.
The Hounslow Wellbeing Network (HWN) is developing a new youth-led programme for Hounslow.
It's designed to better understand and support the mental health and wellbeing of young people aged 16-25 by creating a safe and creative space for them to feel connected and engaged.
HWN has created a short survey to gather insights into young people’s current attitudes and feelings toward factors that contribute to wellbeing. The survey is anonymous and should only take around five minutes to complete.
The findings will directly inform the design of future wellbeing activities and ensure that any support offered reflects what young people need and want.
Work Hounslow is offering an exciting training and skills pathway programme for young people aged 16 to 24, starting in April.
The programme is designed for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and those who have been in care. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction and work towards accredited qualifications.

London has seen an outbreak of measles. The first symptoms of measles include: high temperature, rash, runny or blocked nose, sneezing, cough and red, watery eyes.
If you or your child has a rash and you suspect it's measles, contact your GP and stay away from work, nursery or school for at least four days from when the rash first appears.
The best way to prevent the spreading of measles is to take the MMR vaccine. Please consider getting your child vaccinated to keep all children safe.
It's also never too late to catch up with your MMR vaccination, so if you missed it as a child please contact your GP to arrange an appointment.
