The (green) heat is on in Hounslow
Hounslow has secured £10.55 million from the Government’s Green Heat Network Fund to kickstart the Hounslow Heat Network.
Set to begin construction in 2028, the first phase of the project will use waste heat from Mogden Sewage Treatment Works to provide clean, low carbon heating to homes and buildings across parts of Isleworth and Brentford.
Once complete, it’s expected to cut thousands of tonnes of carbon emissions every year and provide affordable, reliable heat to up to 3,000 homes.
Big turnout for the Limitless Apprenticeship and Jobs Fair

New resident resource for online harm
Hounslow marked #SaferInternetDay this week by encouraging residents to seek advice and guidance around the potential dangers associated with their everyday lives online.
A new resource is now available courtesy of Hounslow’s Safeguarding Children Partnership to support parents, young people and practitioners across the borough. Click on the button below to find out more – the page will be updated on a regular basis
But online safety is also relevant to vulnerable adults too, and the resources below would be helpful to people with a learning disability and elderly people respectively.

MPV Vaccinations
One important infection we can prevent is the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). HPV is extremely common, and most people will come into contact with it at some point in their lives. In many cases, it causes no symptoms and clears on its own. However, some types of HPV can lead to health problems later in life, including cancers, such as head and neck and cervical.
The HPV vaccine provides strong protection against the types of HPV most likely to cause cancer. It is offered to both boys and girls from Year 8 and above, when it is most effective. You can receive your vaccine up to the age of 25.
The HPV vaccine will be offered in your local secondary school from April 2026 to Year 8 students and above. To find out more about the HPV vaccine programme in your school and to book on to a parent / carer information webinar, please click the button below.
