The Council has launched a new digital Swap to Stop offer, designed to help smokers in our borough make the switch away from cigarettes. Hounslow smokers aged 18 and over can apply for the scheme via the Council website.
Once registered, participants will receive a voucher by email, which can be redeemed on the Totally Wicked website. The fully automated 6-week programme includes a free vape starter kit, two top-up vouchers, and a four-week survey check in.
For individuals who want more structured help, vapes and other stop-smoking aids can be accessed via Healthy Hounslow, including one-to-one support from a stop-smoking advisor.

Coughs and colds are very common in little ones, and although they can sound worrying, they’re usually mild and viral so antibiotics won’t help. Green snot, a noisy chest, or night-time coughing are all normal parts of these infections.
If you are concerned and want to know what symptoms to look out for, and when to seek help, visit the Healthier Together website.
Meet the Council's fostering recruitment team at the Hounslow Jamia Masjid Centre (TW4 5HU) this Friday, 5 December from 12.30pm to 2.30pm to find out more about becoming a foster carer in Hounslow. Find out how your existing skills, experiences and values can make you an ideal carer.

Fostering not only transforms the lives of children and young people, but also enriches the lives of those who foster. All are welcome.
Our South Asian residents are at higher risk of flu than other ethnic groups and are more likely to experience severe complications from the illness.
Getting vaccinated can prevent you and others from becoming seriously ill and needing hospital treatment if you get Covid or flu.
You will also be helping to slow the spread of these viruses throughout your wider community, which will help to protect elderly and vulnerable people, including family members who live with you and who you may look after.
Head to Healthwatch Hounslow to find out how you can get vaccinated this winter.
Hounslow’s Health Outreach Team (HOT) will be on the road this week and next offering free flu and Covid vaccinations to all eligible residents.

To mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Hounslow residents are invited to an event that will be held on Thursday, 4 December at Holy Trinity Church on Hounslow High Street.
