More than 23,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with bladder cancer every year, making it one of the top 10 most common cancers. It can affect men and women of all ages.
Around one in four of these diagnoses are late, making treatment more difficult and increasing mortality rates. Knowing the symptoms of bladder cancer is the best way to avoid a late diagnosis and increase your chances of a full recovery.
Action Bladder Cancer UK has a full list of symptoms to look out for, as well as information on who to speak to if you have concerns.

It provides free, personalised support including one-to-one sessions, access to nicotine replacement therapies or a free nicotine vape, and advice on how to stay smoke-free for good.
Healthy Hounslow is also teaming up with health app BetterPoints to help incentivise people to quit smoking this Stoptober. Hounslow residents can earn BetterPoints to the equivalent of £50 if they quit smoking with Healthy Hounslow.
If you're worried about your baby or toddler’s health, check the symptoms on Hounslow Healthier Together before deciding on treatment.
It gives you instant NHS advice for your child’s symptoms, written by local clinicians and just for children.
It shows you when to stay and care at home, when to see a GP or a pharmacist, and when to go A&E. It is easy to use and available in many languages.

London Trading Standards has launched Say Something Save Someone, a dedicated website designed for children and teenagers to anonymously report concerns about the sale and use of vapes in their local area.
The new platform empowers young people across London schools to share vital information about how vapes are being obtained — whether through shops illegally selling or even giving them away — helping professionals safeguard children from potential harm.
