Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre updates
Thank you for your continued patience while the pools at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre remain closed. The Centre is working with the Council and contractors to assess the remedial works required and will provide a further update by Friday, 5 September.
The rest of Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre remains open as normal, including the gym, group exercise classes, sports hall and café.
If you usually swim at Brentford, you're welcome to use any other Lampton Leisure pools during this time. All are within seven miles of Brentford and listed on the website, the nearest being Isleworth and New Chiswick.
If your child is enrolled in swimming lessons, a temporary transfer to another Lampton Leisure centre can be arranged. Please email brentford.leisure@lamptongroup.co.uk and a member of the team will be in touch to help. If you prefer not to transfer, your Swim School membership will be frozen until the pools reopen and you will not be charged during this period.
Pregnant? Get your free flu vaccine soon
If you are pregnant, you can book your free flu vaccine for this winter from Monday, 1 September.
The flu vaccine protects you and your baby. If you're unvaccinated, having flu increases the chances of you and and your baby needing intensive care.
Pregnancy changes how the body responds to infections such as flu and pregnant women have a higher chance of developing complications, particularly in the later stages of pregnancy.
You can speak to your GP or health visitor today about how to get your free vaccine, or go directly to the NHS booking from Monday, 1 September to make an appointment
