Brentford Fountain pools remain closed
 The swimming pools at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre will remain closed while essential maintenance works continue. Lampton Leisure apologises for any inconvenience.
The gym, group exercise classes, and all other facilities remain open as usual. All Brentford Fountain members have had their memberships automatically updated to allow swimming at any other Lampton Leisure centre during this time.

Members and user groups will be informed of progress on the Brentford Leisure pools work directly, and the public will receive a further update by Monday, 18 August.
Job fair to get women into work
 Are you unemployed and looking for work? Come along to a free event at Cranford Community College from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday, 19 August.
At the event, residents can find out about job opportunities and flexible work options in healthcare, admin, early years and more. Attendees can also connect with over 15 employers and organisations to explore their next steps. Light refreshments will be provided.
This event is part of Work Hounslow’s targeted employment support for women in North Hyde and North Cranford, delivered with the support from the Council’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team.
Help imagine Hounslow's future
 The Council is launching a series of workshops as part of Hounslow Vision 2050 and it's inviting local community and organisation leaders to take part.
The workshops will explore how to build a more hopeful future for the borough together, focusing on care, ageing, life transitions and time.
You’ll join a group of 12 people from across Hounslow, developing skills in collective imagination - a vital tool for tackling complex challenges.
Children's and young people's health roadshow
 Want to chat about your child’s health? Come and visit the Chiswick Children's and Young People's Health Roadshow and meet various health services that are available in the local area.
The event will take place at the Ground Floor Community Space in Chiswick Health Centre, from 10am - 2pm on Tuesday, 19 August.
Free activities for the summer holiday
 Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) in Hounslow is hosting summer fun activity days around the borough this summer holiday.
All children between 5-16 years old are welcome to come along and enjoy the activities, including:
- An obstacle course
- Glow dodgeball
- Jewellery making and craft table
- Beat the coaches challenges
Drop in any time the team is there for something fun to do. Parents or carers must accompany children to activities.
Hounslow’s annual weeding marathon on verge of completion
 The Council's in-house Horticultural team has been out across the borough over the past month and is ahead of the game in ridding Hounslow of weeds at the peak of their annual growth.
Over 272km of the borough's 465km of verges have been covered to date, and treatments have included the trial of five alternative methods of weed removal.
The programme started in Hounslow Central on Tuesday, 1 July and will finish at Chiswick Riverside on Friday, 29 August.

Join a free Caribbean celebration in Feltham
 Come and play with the Steel Pan Agency and bring the vibrant sounds of calypso, reggae, and popular music to life with free workshops and a live performance. Feltham Arts presents the fun as part of Hounslow's Summer of Culture.
To play your part, head down to The Piazza, The Centre, Feltham, TW13 4GU on Wednesday, 13 August from 10.30am to 2pm.
The event is suitable anyone for aged seven and above. All children must be accompanied by an adult. No booking needed, just turn up and join the fun.
