 The Council has published the names of all candidates standing for election in the Cranford ward by-election on Thursday, 21 August.

Start your career in architecture
Young people aged 18 to 25 with a passion for urban design can apply for the Build The Way Architecture Traineeship programme.
Trainees will develop technical skills and gain hands-on experience working on a project in a nine-month programme. They will be paid the London Living Wage for a 32-hour week, with an additional one day a week spent at the London School of Architecture completing an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
No previous experience in architecture is required.

Hubba Hubba!
 Hounslow Council’s Family Hubs are hosting their second annual Summer Fun Day on Thursday, 7 August from 12pm to 4pm at Old Isleworthians, TW7 5ED.
The free event offers a fun-filled afternoon of family-friendly activities. These include a bouncy castle, petting zoo, baby sensory area, music, multi-sports, and rock wall climbing, alongside council services that can help support your family's health and wellbeing.
No booking is required - just turn up and enjoy the day. The event is organised by Hounslow’s Family Hubs, which offer year-round support for families with children aged 0–19 and up to 25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Come along to the Feltham Arts Summer Programme at The Centre, Feltham, every Wednesday from 30 July to 27 August.
While you’re there, you can pop into Feltham Library to take part in creative activities like making flower bouquets, pop-up shark cards and animal masks.

Help shape the vision for Hounslow’s future
 The Council has recently launched Vision 2050, an ambitious new listening initiative for residents, businesses and organisations across the borough to help shape a long-term vision for Hounslow.
Throughout the summer, the Council will host events across the borough to engage with residents of all ages and explore what life in Hounslow could be like 25 years from now. Anyone can take part by attending an event, taking part in surveys and joining the discussions in the online forums.
