There are currently 18 Stronger Practice Hubs working to support Early Years settings. If you are not yet in regular contact with your local Hub, we would strongly encourage you to reach out to identify opportunities for collaboration.
Recently, East of England Stronger Practice Hub and Suffolk LA have been working together to deliver conferences for Early Years providers in Suffolk. The LA managed a mid-week event for settings, while the Hub led a Saturday event for childminders. Both events were promoted together, offering a seamless booking experience for delegates.
Carolyn Heyburn, Lead Officer for Early Years and Childcare Service shared the following on the collaboration;
“Suffolk’s Early Years and Childcare service values the collaborative work we undertake with the Stronger Practice Hub. Working together means that we can share expertise and learning opportunities, whilst avoiding duplication. Together we aim to ensure that training is relevant and responsive to the childcare practitioners, and of a high quality. It enables us to offer a greater variety of courses and in a flexible way which we know our practitioner’s welcome. Our ability to work jointly enhances what we can offer childcare professionals in our area and ultimately supports the children and families.”
