The Hounslow Family information Service (FIS) have introduced monthly online drop-in sessions for parents to ask any questions they may have about childcare. This is an open session where parents can drop in anytime within the hour and ask a question, pop it in the chat or request a call back if personal details need to be shared to check eligibility.
Please share this with any parents you think could benefit.

Ofsted are hosting a webinar on Monday, 16 December from 19:00 - 20:00 for Childminders on the Prime Areas of Learning and what the research means.
The webinar will cover:
- The importance of the prime areas of learning
- What a curriculum is for the prime areas of learning
- How we look at the prime areas of learning on inspection
- Share our top 10 key takeaway points from our research.

The Triple P for Baby parenting course aims to support parents to achieve a positive transition to parenthood and the first year with baby, promoting sensitive and responsive care in the perinatal period. Parents actively participate in a range of exercises to learn strategies to develop a positive relationship with their baby, promote their baby’s development and help teach their baby new skills and behaviours.

Would you like to get insights and tips to help you better support children who are deaf or have hearing loss, including glue ear?
Join the National Deaf Children’s Society’s ‘Together We Can’ series of four online training sessions for Early Years professionals. Each week, you'll explore a different topic designed to help you in your role.
When?

- Monday, 27 January, 3.45pm to 5pm
- Monday, 3 February, 3.45pm to 5pm
- Monday, 10 February, 3.45pm to 5pm
The sessions are free, and you’re welcome to join as many as you like.
Who are these sessions for?
The sessions are suitable for anyone who works with children in an early years setting, such as nurseries, crèches, pre-schools or reception classes.
Why attend?
- Learn simple ways to support children’s language and communication, as well as their social and emotional wellbeing.
- Meet a parent of a deaf child who will share their tips for a positive transition to a childcare or other early years setting.
- Ask questions and explore ways to apply your new skills in your setting.
