Join a winning team at the Compass Jobs Fair
The Compass Job Fair for careers in social care and social work will be held at The Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square on Monday, 25 November and the Council is the event's Continuing Professional Development Sponsor.
Recently, a total of three social workers were nominated in separate categories of the 2024 Social Worker of the Year Awards. Aaron Evans (pictured) picked up a Silver Award for Newly Qualified Adult Social Worker of the Year, while Jonas Kurkalang and Andy O’Sullivan were nominated for Children’s Social Worker of the Year and Team Leader of the Year, respectively.
Hounslow Adult and Children's Services aims to be a place where people want to work together to transform the lives of residents. So come and chat to staff at the Hounslow stand to find out more. The day is also packed with fascinating seminars to inform and inspire.
Think pharmacy first for quicker treatment
As we head into winter, local hospitals and GPs are very busy, which means longer waiting times.
Pharmacies across Hounslow are a great alternative if you want immediate treatment and advice for common health conditions, with no GP appointment or prescription needed. Going to a pharmacy first will benefit you and take pressure off our emergency hospital departments and GP services, which can feel the strain at this time of year.
Highly trained pharmacists can assess and treat patients for several common health conditions. In north west London, 95% of pharmacies are offering these additional services.

Everyone is welcome to join, even if they haven’t attended previous sessions.
