Interactive arts arrives for Bell Square ten year party
Bell Square is the exciting outdoor arts space in the heart of Hounslow town centre that brings together the community and attracts visitors to enjoy free outdoor cultural performances - and it is celebrating a decade of activity. Join Adrian Schvarzstein and Jurate Sirvyte Rukstele at Bell Square on Saturday, 26 October as they perform Arrived.
The performers have arrived from the not-so-distant past and therefore see the present-day world through somewhat different eyes. They surprise passers-by with their behaviour, provoke and make them laugh by creating absurd and surreal situations. Music that is heard from their suitcases is the only clue as to exactly where these two strangers have arrived from.
Waste some time with the family
Hounslow Council is encouraging everyone to consider the waste they produce as part of National Recycle Week.
This year’s theme, Rescue Me, highlights how we can all save recyclable items from ending up in the bin and protect the environment by recycling more.
Recycle 360 will also host an Open Day at Southall Lane Depot on Saturday, 19 October, from 10am to 3pm, offering tours, interactive stalls, and family-friendly activities.
You can also make recycling easier with the Waste Wizard tool, which instantly tells you where to recycle your items. Try it at hounslow.gov.uk/wastewizard
Hounslow’s historic house hosts Halloween

Bowling Balls rolls back to Trinity Church
Back in the Summer, the Council's Community Provisions team ran a very successful and engaging men's cancer awareness event called Bowling Balls for men with autism, learning disabilities and related conditions.
Next month, Bowling Balls returns to Holy Trinity Church, Hounslow on Monday, 4 November from 11am - 1pm. This event will cover a broader men's health theme, including fitness and nutrition. There is no need to book in advance, just turn up on the day.
The event takes place during Movember, the men's health campaign that asks people to unite to tackle men's mental health, suicide, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
The Community Provisions team supports adults with disabilities to overcome barriers and thrive.

Have your say on pharmacy services
The Council wants to hear how you access and use pharmacy services to help make improvements in the future.
The responses will help inform the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) which will look at health needs in Hounslow, the level and accessibility of pharmacy services, and how these will be maintained and developed in the future.
The questionnaire should take no longer than five minutes to complete and the information provided is confidential.
