Come along for free, family friendly, summer fun
Hounslow Heath host Paralympics themed Mini-Olympics
As we look forward to next month’s Paralympics in Paris, Hounslow Heath School got in the mood with their annual “Mini-Olympics” to raise money for the Martindale Fund – a local charity that supports Hounslow pupils with physical and sensory needs.
Together with Hounslow’s Advisory Teachers for Physical Disabilities and Complex Medical Needs, the school welcomed 45 pupils from across the borough to participate in an exciting range of inclusive sporting activities. This included Boccia, Curling, and the opportunity to race against our guest of honour – Paralympian and T54 400m world record holder – Richard Chiassaro.
The day was a huge success, despite the weather, with pupils greatly enjoying the chance to try out so many new activities and to meet such an inspiring role model.

Have you say on travel issues to help shape our Transport Strategy
How do you travel around Hounslow? Would you like more opportunities to walk, cycle and use public transport? And what do you think the borough’s transport priorities should be for the future?
These are the big questions Hounslow Council is asking as part of a plan to create a new Transport Strategy for the borough. Council planners want to update the borough’s existing Transport Strategy to make sure it reflects the needs of people who live, work and visit Hounslow.
The consultation, entitled Moving Forward, is open now and it’s easy to get involved.
All you have to do is visit: talk.hounslow.gov.uk/moving-forward and take a few minutes to complete the survey.
Hounslow survey shows very high resident satisfaction
