Find out more about new health centre
Plans are underway for a new medical centre at West Middlesex Hospital and now is your chance to find out more about it.
The new Ambulatory Diagnostic Centre (ADC) will be a five-storey centre at the back of the main hospital site, close to the Park Road entrance.
It will provide services, including clinical imaging, cancer daycare, renal dialysis and education and training.
Work on the ADC is expected to begin this month and will be completed by Autumn 2026.
You can find out more about it at a special engagement event at Isleworth Library, Twickenham Road on Tuesday, 19 March between 7- 8pm.

West London Volunteers Fair
As we look forward to another Summer of Culture across the borough, have you considered volunteering at one of West London’s historic houses? Or perhaps you’d like to give up some free time to support one of the galleries or museums in the area?
On Wednesday, 20 March, from 10am-1pm, come and connect with local cultural organisations at one of Hounslow’s finest historic houses - Boston Manor House - and learn about a diverse range of volunteering opportunities. There will be at least twenty partners to chat to, including the hosts, Gunnersbury Park and Museum, Fulham Palace and Ealing & Hounslow Community Volunteering Service.

Share and Repair this Saturday
This week, Hounslow is supporting London Repair Week 2024. As part of the commitment to offering sustainable solutions to residents, the Council is hosting repair cafés to help give faulty items a new lease of life.
Residents can come down to Heston Community Centre (TW5 0EE) on Saturday, 16 March between 11am and 1:30pm for the monthly Heston Repair Café. Suitable for all the family, volunteers will teach you to mend items or help fix smaller electrical appliances, bicycles, and more.
The event is free to attend, no booking is required, and refreshments are available.
Women only bike maintenance session
Are your bike breaks squeaky or weak? Come to our free, women only class and learn to fix your bike breaks. Learn from our excellent female mechanic at the Heston Royal British Legion, Saturday 23 March, 2pm to 5pm.
This is a hands-on class, tools and gloves will be provided and you'll be carrying out the work on one of our demonstrator bikes, as part of a small group.
Join Learn Hounslow’s open evening
On Monday, 18 March, Learn Hounslow will host an open evening for residents aged 19 or above at Meadowbank Adult Education Centre, Cranford, TW5 9QX. Course tutors will be there to support you with information on a range of short and long qualification courses.

Ghanaian Community celebrates Independence Day
The Ghanaian Community Forum (GCF) hosted a successful celebration of Ghana’s independence last Saturday, 9 March, at Heritage Kitchen & Bar in Hounslow West. Guests enjoyed a free buffet lunch of traditional delicacies including Jollof Rice, BBQ and Jerk Chicken and ‘puff puff’ doughnuts.
Blema Dancers entertained a packed crowd, who also enjoyed a Ghana Independence quiz.
Look out for more events courtesy of this vibrant, ever-growing organisation including an exciting collaboration with the Council for an event for Hounslow’s wider black community in May.
