 Small businesses based in Hounslow have the chance to win free digital poster advertising space across the borough as the Advance for Growth competition returns for a second year.
Launched last year by the Council in partnership with JCDecaux UK and West London Chambers of Commerce, the competition will equip one business with the tools and expertise to substantially scale, and build a strong, recognisable brand.
The unique prize package includes:
- Digital Out-Of-Home (DOOH) advertising campaigns to run in 2024 on the Council’s and JCDecaux’s digital estate across the borough.
- Audience insight, campaign planning and creative advice from JCDecaux.
- Post 2024, for a period of 12 months, JCDecaux will provide an equivalent value for advertising space to any cash investment from the winning entrant.
- One-year one-to-one business mentoring and support from Hounslow Council.
- One-year free subscription to Hounslow Chamber of Commerce and front cover feature on their magazine” Let’s Talk Business”.
Last year's winner, Jon Partridge, Hang. Managing Director said:
"Winning the Advance for Growth competition, and working with JCDecaux has been an absolute game-changer for our business. Putting the financial value of the media exposure aside, being a small self-funded start-up our internal team resource is limited.
"Being able to leverage the full JCDecaux OOH network alongside their fully integrated implementation team was an incredibly valuable opportunity. From their creative advice, campaign planning, data insights, market research we feel we have supercharged the effectiveness of our campaigns. We have seen significant growth in both online and offline enquiries, footfall and most importantly bookings and revenue.

Businesses are eligible to enter if:
- The business is based and registered (via Companies House) in the London Borough of Hounslow.
- The business is registered for VAT payments.
- The business has been trading for a minimum of one year, have no more than 25 employees and has an annual turnover of less than £5 million
- No franchisee’s entrants are permitted.
- The business must not be associated with gambling, smoking (including vaping), alcohol related products or High Fat Salt Sugar related products.
Only one entry per business is permitted.
The closing date for entries is Monday, 16 October at 9.00am.
Previous winners are not eligible to apply.
Winners will be announced at the West London Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2022/2023 on 23 November.
