Please email grace.milstead@hounslow.gov.uk what activity you will be running at the launch event, alongside your information table. It has previously been requested but we only have a few answers. We need this information by 30 June. The longer you leave it, the more likely someone else will take the activity you want to run.

There is a full eight step set-up guide via the weblink below. Crucially, The Daily Mile is a non-competitive activity where children can move at their own pace. The route should be on a safe mud free surface - no need for a specific track – with the aim of 5 – 10 laps dependent on space. Links can be made to other areas of your HAF provisions, e.g., nutrition, hydration, creative thinking, and The Daily Mile team have put together a number of resources on the weblink below to support you.
The Daily Mile is, and will always be, free and we’d love for you to get involved.

The Outdoor Kids Sun Safety Code by the Melanoma Fund is a FREE resource designed for outdoor groups and clubs to actively improve the provision of sun protection, helping create better habits at a young age.
To get accredited, providers simply need so sign up at www.melanoma-fund.co.uk/OK-sun-safety-code/ and use downloadable materials within sessions. A quiz is also available - Sun-Sorted Quiz - Melanoma Fund UK (melanoma-fund.co.uk) to support a child’s understanding of sun protection.
A recent survey revealed 67 per cent of parents admit they would use sunscreen more if it was cheaper, compounding the issue.
To support providers in their mission to keep ALL children sun safe in summer activities, the Melanoma Fund is offering you discounted sunscreen support, in the form of dispensers and 100ml tubes of SPF30.
For further details visit https://www.melanoma-fund.co.uk/ok-sun-safety-code/sunscreen-support/.

The summer evaluation forms for the HAF programme have been emailed to all Providers. There is an evaluation form for parents/carers, and a separate form for children/young people. All providers must complete these with the children and ask parents to fill in their responses, on site. We know from feedback that when parents take these home, they often do not return them. This data is crucial to the programme and is a requirement for Local Authorities to submit to the DfE.
The children can complete these as a quick ten minute activity together on their last day.
We ask all providers to please return all evaluations 10 days after your final day of delivery to;
Unit 1207, Curries Storage, 207-209 Worton Road, Isleworth, TW7 6DS
Remember - if you have more than one setting, please clearly state the correct setting on the evaluations
