2022-2023 Childcare Sufficiency prep work
Each year, Hounslow council publishes a Childcare Sufficiency Report which identifies any gaps in the market and highlights:
supply of childcare - the number of places offered
demand for childcare - take up data and vacancies
cost of childcare - fee information
quality of childcare - Ofsted reports
future sustainability of childcare in the borough - survey questions
Data to inform each annual report is provided by childminders, day nurseries, school nursery classes, pre-schools, holiday care providers and breakfast and out of school providers.
For the 2022-23 report we have combined the surveys that were sent out in the past to individual providers into one. The survey is now slightly longer than usual but hopefully will be less onerous than trying to complete two surveys with different deadline dates.
The survey will be sent to providers on Monday, 5 June – please look out for the email. We do require a 100% return rate for this annual survey to ensure childcare provision in all Wards is accounted for. No childcare providers are identified in the annual report.
