Take care when walking outside in icy weather
With some areas of Hounslow freezing over, please take extra precautions when you are outside in icy weather.
Surfaces can become slippery during cold periods, so we must take extra care to prevent falls and injuries.
If you're out and about in Hounslow’s parks and open spaces, please avoid going near frozen ponds, lakes and rivers.

Cervical Cancer Screening Saves Lives
A cancer charity is leading the way in making people more aware of the vital role cervical cancer screening can play in saving lives.
Each day in England, two women die from cervical cancer. Despite this, one in three women does not take up the offer of cervical screening when it is offered.
Next week (January 23 - 29) is Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, and partners across Hounslow are supporting the message that we can end this disease by working together.
Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust - the county’s leading cervical cancer charity, is urging everyone to help raise awareness about the illness and what can be done to prevent it.
Cervical Cancer is one of the most preventable forms of cancer and early screening can stop it before it starts.
Women and people with a cervix between 25 and 64 are eligible for screening. Any woman registered with a GP will be invited for a screening every three years. You can discuss any concerns you might have about the test with your doctor or practice nurse.
