Hounslow's baby boomers get boosted
Cases of COVID-19 are still being recorded in Hounslow.
And as we enter the colder months of the year, it is anticipated that cases of flu will increase.
That's why it's important to get boosted.
People who are aged 65 and over in Hounslow are entitled to free COVID-19 and flu vaccines. These boosters will help protect you, your family and your community over the winter months.
There are plenty of venues across the borough where you can get your boosters, including your GP surgery and local pharmacy.
Caring for the Carers
Hounslow’s unpaid carers will take centre stage on Thursday, 24 November as the borough recognises their dedication to those who need their help.
Carers Rights Day is an annual event that raises awareness about the rights of people who look after loved ones, friends or neighbours – known as unpaid carers.
The day, organized by the national charity, Carers UK, is also a chance to show appreciation for the role these carers play.
Hounslow Council and its partners are hosting a series of awareness-raising events for the borough’s carers as part of the national campaign.
There are also a number of online support events planned.
