Hounslow residents with prepayment energy meters could be missing out on £400 in support with paying their bills.
Since the beginning of October, households should have begun to receive the first instalment of the government’s Energy Bill Support Scheme.
People with prepayment meters should get a voucher that they will need to redeem.
However, national reports say that 40 percent of people who are eligible for this support have not redeemed their vouchers so far.
The vouchers are only valid for 90 days and the government is urging eligible residents to use them as soon as possible.

Tummy trouble - get it checked out
As part of the ‘Help Us, Help You’ campaign, NHS England is encouraging anyone who has had tummy troubles such as discomfort or diarrhoea for three weeks or more, or seen blood in their pee – even just once, to contact their GP practice.
Persistent tummy troubles can be a sign of a number of cancers, including bowel, ovarian or pancreatic cancer, and blood in pee - even just once - can be a sign of urological cancers, including bladder or kidney cancer.
While it’s probably nothing serious, any of these symptoms could be a sign of something that needs treatment. If it is cancer, finding it early makes it more treatable and can save lives.
Residents and communities are being urged to help shape how we improve health and wellbeing for everyone across Hounslow.
Hounslow Council wants a broad range of people to give their views on the updated Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy, which sets out the health challenges the borough faces and proposals to address them. You can share your views by participating in a survey, which closes on Tuesday 25 November.
Views and opinions from this survey, as well as insights on the impact of the pandemic and the Cost-of-Living crisis in the area, will be used to refresh the borough’s existing Joint Health and Wellbeing strategy, which has been in place between 2018 and 2022.
Hounslow's Health Outreach Team (HOT) is out and about in the borough, supporting residents with their health needs.
The joint NHS and Council team is staffed by healthcare and engagement personnel, utilising the broad range of skills available within Primary Care Networks and the Council, including speaking community languages.
