There are many different possible causes of anxiety and sometimes it can be hard to know exactly why we feel anxious. Some of the main causes are:
- Negative thoughts relating to yourself, those around you or the wider world
- Bullying
- Experiences from early on in life
- Problems with relationships
- Picking up anxious behaviour from someone close to us
- Work stress
- Debt

Unless you need help for an immediate health emergency residents are urged to contact their GP surgery first or NHS 111 to seek advice.
Whilst national restrictions have ended, Covid levels are currently very high and increasing in the community. Please remember what works, wash your hands frequently, socially distance where possible and wearing a mask in public places is encouraged – this will help reduce spread and avoid further increasing pressure on our hospital.
Free community testing has now finished. There are a few groups who will still receive free testing, this incudes free testing NHS staff in front facing roles and care homes. If you have symptoms, you are advised to isolate for 5 days. Tests can be purchased privately.
