![Feltham Train](https://content.govdelivery.com/attachments/fancy_images/UKHOUNSLOW/2022/04/5744633/feltham-train_original.png) The Hampton Kempton Waterworks Railway, sometimes known as the ‘secret railway’, is the only operational 1915 heritage steam narrow-gauge railway ‘loop’ within the M25.
The railway has a fascinating heritage story to tell of supplying clean drinking water to London from the early 1900s and is set against the backdrop of the magnificent Kempton Steam Museum.
The railway ‘loop’ gives local families and visitors alike a fun opportunity to experience a steam-hauled passenger journey through the urban countryside of South West London.
With plenty of parking, countryside picnic tables, a mobile catering facility, as well as the Kempton Flyer play train for kids, it’s a great outing for everyone.

![Stay Safer Behaviour asset](https://content.govdelivery.com/attachments/fancy_images/UKHOUNSLOW/2022/04/5744643/4044549/social-living-with-covid-jan21_crop.jpg) The new highly transmissible BA2 variant of Omicron is causing a significant increase in positive persons accessing UTC/ A&E at the hospital, and causing significant demand for our local hospital services. Unless you need help for an immediate health emergency residents are urged to contact their GP surgery first or NHS 111 to seek advice.
Whilst national restrictions have ended, Covid levels are currently very high and increasing in the community. Please remember what works, wash your hands frequently, socially distance where possible and wearing a mask in public places is encouraged – this will help reduce spread and avoid further increasing pressure on our hospital.
Free community testing has now finished. There are a few groups who will still receive free testing, this incudes free testing NHS staff in front facing roles and care homes. If you have symptoms, you are advised to isolate for 5 days. Tests can be purchased privately.
