Have you booked your place at the One Hounslow Colleague Expo yet?
The event will feature a live presentation / Q&A from Deputy Leader of the Council, Councillor Lily Bath and Chief Executive, Niall Bolger, celebrating the outstanding achievements of our colleagues and outlining our ambitions and priorities for the year ahead.
Colleagues will also have the chance to visit our LGC Council of the Year ‘market place’, showcasing the services and projects which supported our successful bid, and there will be a range of learning and development opportunities on offer.
Light refreshments and Council of the Year merchandise will also be available.
Please note - booking is essential for this event to help us ensure your safety.

Easter charity raffle

The Mayor of the London Borough of Hounslow, Councillor Bishnu Gurung, is hosting an Easter raffle to raise funds for the Mayor’s charity, Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA).
There are loads of fantastic prizes up for grabs, including a Cadbury Easter hamper, M&S voucher and Fullers hamper.

Would you like to be an Environmental Ambassador?

Are you passionate about creating a green, environmentally friendly borough?
We want to include everyone in our climate change ambitions and would love to hear from colleagues who may be interested in signing up as an Environmental Ambassador.
From high-level plans for our future transport infrastructure to reminding peers to switch off the light when leaving the room – there’s an opportunity to get involved across the board.

Check out Spring Forward
Coming along to the One Hounslow Colleague Expo? Then why not take some time to visit our Spring Forward ‘pop-up’ mini marketplace.
Spring Forward is open on the ground floor of Hounslow House every weekday, from 9am to 5pm until Friday, 25 March.
Stalls / events include, upcycling workshops, Lampton Leisure services, Save the High Street and much more.
Emotional and wellbeing support - Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

Our EAP is here to support colleagues with free, independent and confidential advice. The service provider, Validium, will always keep your identity and anything you discuss confidential.

Has your device been PAT tested?
As more of us return to work at Hounslow House / council offices, it is important to get your device(s) PAT tested - an electrical safety test.
Our in-house Engineering team will be running drop-in PAT clinics throughout March, where you can bring in your electrical appliances to be tested and checked.

Kickstart your week with our stretch, breathe and relax sessions
Find out more about tax free childcare

On Tuesday, 15 March and Wednesday, 16 March there will be a series of webinars to explain tax free childcare (TFC) for local authorities and family-facing professionals.
These sessions will help you to raise awareness and understanding of TFC. Attendees will be provided with ideas and ‘tools’ to motivate parents to sign up and use TFC to pay for childcare, out-of-school and holiday club provision.
Those who lead, manage or work in childcare settings can choose from two sessions taking place on:
Tuesday, 15 March 1.30pm to 3pm: book here
Wednesday, 16 March 6.30pm - 8pm: book here
For other family facing professionals, including health visitors, social workers or staff who work in children’s centres, there will be a session on:

Unison Annual General meeting

Hounslow Unison is holding two Annual General Meetings in March. All Unison members are invited to attend.
The meetings are being held remotely via Teams on:
- Wednesday, 23 March 1pm-2pm
- Thursday, 24 March 5pm-6pm
