Take care of your mental health - enrich yourself with culture at your doorstep

Getting out of the house and seeing new and interesting sights can be a real help to your mental health - and Open House Festival is the perfect way to do just that this September.

Fancy taking a behind-the-scenes tour of some amazing buildings in and around London - including Hounslow - or discovering some fantastic urban landscapes? This annual festival opens many of London’s visitor attractions for nine whole days - and is completely free to attend.

Running from 4 – 12 September across the whole of London’s 33 boroughs and is a celebration of the capital’s architecture and urban design. 

With 365,000 visits in a single weekend, the Open House Festival is the largest celebration of urban landscape in the world, so ensure you don’t miss out by pre-booking your tickets!

21 events will be happening across Hounslow alone, so why not discover what's going on right at your doorstep?

Where can I get vaccinated this week?

All vaccination sites offer Pfizer and AstraZeneca first and second doses (second doses 8+ weeks after first) unless noted otherwise

16-17 year olds only need one vaccine.

Friday 3, Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 September 

• Cranford Community College, High St, Hounslow TW5 9PD (10am - 6pm)
  Offering Pfizer only first and second doses (8 weeks gap between first and second dose)

You can also get your vaccine at one of our community pharmacy sites in the Borough!

Kids going back to school this week? Get tested!

Testing regularly protects us all, so if you’re a parent with children returning to the classroom this week don’t forget to get tested.

Here is where you can get your FREE Rapid Test this week if you don’t have COVID-19 symptoms:

• Heston Library (New Heston Road, Hounslow TW5 0LW) - Open 8.00am-4.00pm, Mon-Sun.
• Bedfont Library (Staines Road, Feltham TW14 8DB) - Open 8.00am-4.00pm, Mon-Fri.
