17 August 2021
As of yesterday, Monday 16 August, the Government has introduced new self-isolation rules for those who are fully vaccinated. Please read these carefully.
If you are fully vaccinated, even if you are contacted via NHS Track and Trace (including the app) to self-isolate, you will no longer have to do so, providing you have no COVID-19 symptoms.
Please note, to allow the vaccine to build the maximum possible protection, you must wait for two weeks after the date of your second dose to become exempt from self-isolation.
If you are yet to receive your first and/or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccination, you must still self-isolate if notified by NHS Track and Trace for the stated numbers of days upon receiving the notification. If you work in a front-line role which requires you to be outside of your home, please alert your manager as soon as you receive this notification to make necessary arrangements.
Find out more about exactly when and how to self-isolate below.
All vaccination sites offer Pfizer and AstraZeneca first and second doses (second doses 8+ weeks after first) unless noted otherwise

Unvaccinated pregnant women with COVID-19 have a higher risk of intensive care admission.
Women with COVID-19 disease are also more likely to give birth prematurely.
Vaccinations offer pregnant women the best protection against COVID-19 and serious related complications that may put a pregnancy at risk.
If you are pregnant or thinking of getting pregnant, speak to a clinician or midwife about getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
