Get fit and get rewards with BetterPoints!

Hounslow Council has partnered with mobile phone app BetterPoints to get residents up and active by rewarding exercise!

We’re encouraging residents across the borough to download the free BetterPoints App on their smart mobile phone. It works by totting-up 'BetterPoints' for being active or attending certain health services and Lampton Leisure centres. Points can then be spent at local businesses and Council owned leisure centres or donated to local charities.

Rewards are given for activities like going for a walk, a cycle, or run, and the App will keep residents up-to-date on ways to earn more rewards through community initiatives such as walking groups and litter picking or joining OneYou Hounslow's Health services.

Simply download the BetterPoints App from the App Store or Google Play store and register your details. 

As an extra bonus, if you sign up to the One You Hounslow challenge between now and 8th August you will be entered into a prize draw for a £25 Love2Shop Voucher.

Take part in FREE outdoor sessions across the Borough with Lampton Leisure! With a range of activities for all ages and abilities there’s something to suit everyone and no membership required.

These sessions will be available every week for 6 weeks from Monday 26 July until Thursday 2 September, giving residents the opportunity to take part in a range of activities free of charge.

Head to Osterley for some athletics, netball or a fun filled family sports day, Heston for an over 50’s health walk or an outdoor session or bring the kids down to Hanworth for a family fitness day. The choice is yours!

Everyone and anyone can take part, there's no need to buy a Lampton Leisure membership.

Simply visit the Lampton Leisure website or download the, register for an account and head to the relevant centre where the session is held book your sessions. Bookings are available 7 days in advance.

You can walk-in to Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre without an appointment to have a simple conversation with a midwife or neonatal nurse about your vaccine concerns, from Monday-Thursday, 8am-8pm.

Unvaccinated pregnant women with COVID-19 have a higher risk of intensive care admission.

Women with COVID-19 disease are also more likely to give birth prematurely.

Vaccinations offer pregnant women the best protection against COVID-19 and serious related complications that may put a pregnancy at risk.

If you are pregnant or thinking of getting pregnant, speak to a clinician or midwife about getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
