Hounslow Council and Brentford Football Club are tackling COVID-19 at the weekend with a mass PCR testing event for the borough’s residents on Saturday 19 June from 11.00am-6.00pm.

Recently promoted to the Premier League, Brentford FC is supporting the Council's drive to get as many people tested as possible at the Brentford Community Stadium and at the same time it's an opportunity to visit the new stadium.

Hounslow Council’s Leader, Cllr Steve Curran, said: “Don’t miss the opportunity to get your PCR test at Brentford FC on Saturday. The only way we can all hope to get back to a more normal way of life is if we keep getting tested and remember ‘hands, face, space’. If you’re celebrating Father’s Day this weekend, then why not come along with Dad on Saturday together and get him tested, too!”

Cliff Crown, Brentford FC Chairman, said: “We are delighted to be able to assist and provide a venue for this mass testing event on Saturday. We want to do all we can to stop the spread of Covid-19, the sooner we return to normal, the sooner we can fill our new stadium for the Premier League. We always wanted our stadium to be an asset for the whole community and this is just one way it can be used in the coming years.”

Please note there is no parking available at the ground, so please walk or use public transport if you can. If you have a smart phone, please bring it with you to register upon arrival. Staff on site will be able to help with the registration process if you don’t have a smart phone. No vaccinations will be given at the event. Get a PCR test at a mobile or local test site near you!

It's important that you get a PCR test as soon as you can to identify any new variants of concern and keep the infection rate under control, even if you've already had a vaccine.

Please get a PCR test as soon as possible on Friday 18 June at the following locations:

If you are aged 21 or over, are clinically vulnerable, a frontline worker or a carer, you can now book your COVID-19 vaccination through the NHS website even if you haven’t yet received a letter. Appointments are available at sites across the Borough and also Ealing, Wembley and Hammersmith.

We are aware of other scam messages circulating – please ignore them. The NHS will never ask you for money or your bank details for your vaccination – it is free. 

COVID-19 vaccines are being offered to:

• people aged 21 and over
• people who will turn 21 before 1 July 2021
• people at high risk from COVID-19 (clinically extremely vulnerable)
• people with a condition that puts them at higher risk (clinically vulnerable)
• people with a learning disability
• people who live or work in care homes
• health and social care workers
• people who are a main carer for someone at high risk from COVID-19
