Register for building contracts
To support the recovery of construction services, Hounslow Council is encouraging local businesses to sign up to the London Tenders Portal.
Registering on the London Tenders Portal is free for all traders. Once registered, you will receive email updates on new contract opportunities issued by Hounslow Council, other London boroughs and various other bodies. These are matched to the suppliers’ capabilities and trades. After signing up, the Council will provide advice, support and training on making the best use of the portal.

#ShopSafeShopLocal Campaign
New business support advisors are available for businesses to reopen in a Covid-19 Secure way. The Council, working with Safer Business Hounslow and Hounslow Chamber of Commerce, are ensuring support is available for all businesses as they reopen from lockdown.
The Council is proud to be working with Safer Business Hounslow and Hounslow Chamber of Commerce to deliver the #ShopSafeShopLocal campaign.
Business Support Advisers have been fully trained by our HSE director, and are visiting businesses across the entire borough, to assist and aid, especially independent businesses/retailers, to re-open in a COVID-19 secure manner.

Two new leadership programmes to help Small Businesses grow
As the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis spurs British businesses to adopt new ways of working, the government is investing £20 million to improve small businesses’ management, productivity and problem-solving skills through 2 training programmes, at this crucial time in the UK’s economic recovery.
The Small Business Leadership Programme and Peer Network scheme aim to enhance resilience and recovery from the impact of COVID-19, and enable SMEs to develop their potential for future growth and productivity.
