Ever wondered what happens to your recycling?
Come along and find out!
Since November 2017, most of Hounslow's household recycling is transferred to this new, state-of-the-art facility where it is sorted and dispatched to re-processors. The facility is on track to process in excess of 16,000 tonnes in its first year.
This is great news for Hounslow as not only does it enable us to manage the borough's recyclable materials in a way that respects the environment, it also enables the borough to benefit from revenues paid by re-processors for the sorted waste. This money can then be put to good use in supporting front line services.
Following previous very popular open days earlier this year, we are offering residents of the borough further opportunities to visit the new facility, not normally open to the public.
