Know Your Numbers! Week
Know Your Numbers! Week 2023 is taking place from 4-10 September. Around a third of people in the UK have high blood pressure, but most don’t know it.
This week highlights the importance of checking your blood pressure, and knowing what steps you can take to lower it if it’s high.
If you are aged 40 to 74 and you have not had a Health Check in the last 5 years, you might be eligible for a free NHS Health Check.
This check can assess your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease. You will have a finger-prick cholesterol test, your blood pressure taken and discuss your lifestyle and family history.
Having an NHS Health Check can help you to reduce your risk of of developing health problems and make sure that you stay healthy.
NHS Health Check appointments available throughout September

Menopause Café
After the great success of our first Menopause Café we will be running another café at Chococo in Horsham town centre.
Menopause Café is aimed at breaking down the stigma around menopause and increasing awareness of the impact of menopause on those experiencing it. The idea is to create conversations in our communities and to support one another.
Hosted by Horsham Central Primary Care Network and Horsham Wellbeing who will be on hand to share knowledge and advice.
We have 30 spaces available for this event.
Parkfit 4 Beginners
Get Active course - starting 19 September!
This month we are excited to launch Parkfit 4 Beginners.
Parkfit 4 Beginners is a fun and friendly 10 session course held outside in the beautiful surroundings of Horsham Park. Sessions last an hour (this includes a warm up, plenty of breaks throughout and a cool down and stretch at the end).
Classes take place whatever the weather and incorporate both cardio and body weight exercises, with no two sessions being the same!
Like all of our Get Active classes, Parkfit 4 Beginners is perfect for those returning to exercise or those starting their fitness journey, regardless of current fitness levels. Each class will be adapted, as necessary, to suit all abilities.

Men's Health Survey
We know that men are less likely to ask for or seek medical help then women. Following on from Men's Health Week in June, we want to make sure we continue to work towards changing this.
We’re asking males to complete this short survey to help us understand how we can improve and tailor the service to meet the needs of local men.
Can you help us and complete this short survey?
