Know Your Numbers! Week

Know Your Numbers! Week 2023 is taking place from 4-10 September. Around a third of people in the UK have high blood pressure, but most don’t know it.

This week highlights the importance of checking your blood pressure, and knowing what steps you can take to lower it if it’s high.

If you are aged 40 to 74 and you have not had a Health Check in the last 5 years, you might be eligible for a free NHS Health Check.

This check can assess your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease. You will have a finger-prick cholesterol test, your blood pressure taken and discuss your lifestyle and family history.

Having an NHS Health Check can help you to reduce your risk of of developing health problems and make sure that you stay healthy.

NHS Health Check appointments available throughout September

Men's Health Survey

MHS

We know that men are less likely to ask for or seek medical help then women. Following on from Men's Health Week in June, we want to make sure we continue to work towards changing this.

We’re asking males to complete this short survey to help us understand how we can improve and tailor the service to meet the needs of local men.

Can you help us and complete this short survey?
