A Horsham District Council election took place on Thursday 4 May 2023.
Horsham District residents have elected:
- 28 Liberal Democrat councillors
- 11 Conservative councillors
- 8 Green party councillors
- 1 Independent councillor
The Council now has a Liberal Democrat majority.

Thousands of people across the Horsham District came out to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty The King over an extended weekend of free special events.
Throughout the Horsham District, street parties, Big Lunches, fetes, vintage car rallies and a whole lot more brought our local communities together over the special Coronation Bank Holiday weekend, as we marked this significant day in our nation’s history.

Billingshurst residents were joined on a recent Wellbeing Walk (arranged by Horsham District Wellbeing Service) by Billingshurst Neighbourhood Wardens and West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service.
During their stroll through Jubilee Fields country park, participants were able to see spring flourishing, discuss any local issues and talk all things fire safety.

The local heat of the 2023 UK Young Market Trader of the Year competition saw Benedict Derbyshire from Viburna Spirits, a locally based artisan liqueur company, beat off tough competition to win first place.
Highly commended companies were Jade’s Sweetbakes, Plastic-free refills, Resident Pheasant and CWJ London.
