Staying Positive

Our Weight Off Workshops are now online and over the phone!

Over a series of 12 workshops aimed at supporting you to lose weight, you will receive information and advice on improving your eating habits, exercise and emotional wellbeing. We aim to equip you with the tools to make positive lifestyle changes.

Everyone that signs up to the course will receive one-to-one coaching to get you started and then you have a choice of continuing with these sessions over the phone or joining a small group online. You will also get a toolkit full of useful resources including a food and exercise diary, exercise and recipe booklets, Eat Well guide, weight tracker card and an exercise resistance band.  

New Exercise Membership

We're now offering everyone that signs up the opportunity to access 3 months of free exercise via access to AHS Wellbeing Online. AHS Wellbeing offer a range of fun virtual workouts for all ages and abilities, delivered right to the home by their friendly support team. There are over 30 virtual fitness classes to take part in, from Back to Exercise to Pilates and Yoga to Regaining Strength. Hopefully you will be spoilt for choice!

Alternatively you can book on to one of our 10-week online Get Active courses (Exercise to Music, Pilates and 'Outdoor' Fitness).

A step towards change

Are you motivated to make changes to your diet, and lifestyle but don’t want to join a long course?

Explore how your emotions impact on your relationship with food with our Wellbeing package. 

During these challenging times you may find yourself in a cycle of emotional eating to cope. We understand that food is comforting, but it can often lead to unhealthy eating habits. Making small and simple changes to your eating patterns could help you develop a positive relationship with food. The Package offers 3 sessions advising on emotional health, healthy eating and physical activity.

Cookery skills course coming soon...

Brought to you by UK Harvest we are able to offer you the engaging cookery and nutrition programme, NourishEd which uses rescued produce to create healthy, balanced meals from fresh ingredients. 

It also provides information on nutrition, cooking healthy meals on a budget, how to prevent food wastage and studying the NHS EatWell Guide.

NourishEd 

The courses are aimed at people with very little or no cooking skills and all sessions will be held online and via telephone. Watch this space for more details and for possible pop up events offering cookery demonstrations!

Census 2021

The census is for everyone. It’s a unique survey that happens every 10 years and gives a snapshot of all the people in England and Wales.

It can work out what the country's needs are and help inform decisions about services, like healthcare. Predicting future healthcare needs is never easy, which is why it’s vital for everyone to complete a Census 2021 form. Public health organisations use this information to apply for funding and planning.
