Help customers be kind to our parks and open spaces
Parks and green spaces have been utilised and valued by a huge number of people since the country locked down at the end of March. Sadly, we have seen a substantial increase in the volumes of litter and waste being left behind, including packaging from businesses across the District.
This issue is expected to get worse over the summer holidays, and our parks are in urgent need of support.
In place of the usual Love Parks Week campaign, Keep Britain have launched a new campaign to address this urgent issue and reduce anti-social behaviour in parks.
What you can do to help
Please continue to encourage all your customers to dispose or recycle any packaging from your business responsibly. This could include asking your staff to verbally ask at the point of sale or putting up a notice in your shop or venue.
Share the campaign
Want to help further? You can support the campaign further by sharing a message or two on your social media and email channels to encourage as many customers as possible to think twice before littering.
