Shorter Trial Scheme pilot 

On 1 January 2024, a pilot scheme was launched capping costs for patent cases in the Shorter Trial Scheme within the Business and Property Courts.

The Family Court reporting pilot

The Family Court reporting pilot is extending to a further 16 courts across the country. It introduces that accredited media professionals can report on family court cases.

Changes to the probate enquiry phoneline

From Wednesday 14 February, for a period of 12 weeks, the probate enquiry phoneline will run from 9am to 1pm from Monday to Friday.
