HMCTS National Awards Ceremony
We held our annual national awards ceremony on 26 September 2023 to celebrate the outstanding work carried out by HMCTS staff over the past year. The event was held at the Royal Courts of Justice, but also live streamed virtually on social media for the first time.
The Lord Chancellor, Lord Chief Justice, MoJ’s Permanent Secretary and HMCTS Board Chair were all in attendance to present awards and congratulate the nominees and winners.
CEO, Nick Goodwin, expressed his gratitude and admiration for the work being done across the organisation.
Reminder: Court scams
We've been made aware of reports of scammers contacting members of the public and impersonating our staff from Swindon Combined Court. We recently put out a message on social media alerting users to this.
If you suspect you have experienced a form of fraudulent communication, do not offer any payment and report it to Action Fraud via telephone on 0300 123 2040.
You can also refer to our guidance on how to recognise and handle fraudulent communications.

Leeds Business and Property Court
Leeds Business and Property Court will relocate to West Gate, Grace Street, in early 2024.
West Gate is opposite Leeds Magistrates’ and Combined Courts. The fourth-floor suite will house four courtrooms. The move to West Gate will allow us to make improvements to the estate and provide a better experience for the customer.
The site has previously been confirmed as the new home for Leeds Employment Tribunal.
