Our sixth Annual Public User Event 

At this in-person event, we reflected on achievements, looked towards the future and discussed the latest progress of the Reform Programme across all jurisdictions. 

Evaluation of our small claims opt-out approach to mediation

We've evaluated our pilot approach offering mediation on an opt-out basis within the new digital service for civil money claims.

New features added to the digital damages claims service

We’ve introduced new functions for legal representatives and judges. Legal firms will need to sign up to MyHMCTS and add their staff to the system to use these. 

Other News

We've published management information for January 2022 to January 2023.
We use this information to understand workload volumes and timeliness nationally.

We've announced opening times for our courts and tribunals over the Easter period. Most courts and tribunals will temporarily close from Friday 7 to Monday 10 April.

Scammers have been using Ministry of Justice telephone numbers to target members of the public.

Defence solicitors and barristers can join any of our Common Platform drop-in support sessions for help and support on Tuesdays at 4:30pm and Thursdays at 9am.

Following a consultation, recent changes in legislation and feedback, the Sentencing Council has published a list of amendments to sentencing guidelines.
