Common Platform
Watch a recording of our webinar for defence professionals
We held a webinar for defence professionals on recent progress we’ve made introducing the Common Platform case management system to criminal courts, our plans for further implementation, and to demonstrate new features.
Accessing and uploading case materials using Common Platform
Important reminder - once you have registered as defence on a Common Platform case, you should download the initial details of the prosecution case (IDPC) using the system. You will need to associate to the case to be able to upload case materials. You should upload case material before the hearing so that matters can be progressed and then dealt with in the courtroom.
Book your space at a drop in session
Defence solicitors and barristers can join one of our regular online support sessions to get help with using Common Platform. We’ll answer questions, offer advice and help with troubleshooting. Sessions take place on 📅 Tuesdays at 🕐 4:30pm and 📅 Thursdays at 🕐 9am.
Reminder: Defence professionals need to check in for court hearings
By checking in each time they attend a court hearing Common Platform can then let others know that they are attending and ready, and records their name against the court record for payment purposes, both for magistrates’ and Crown Courts.
