The Criminal Justice System (CJS) Common Platform Programme defence user researcher will be visiting Croydon magistrates’ court on 3 and 4 April 2017 and Croydon Police Station on 7 April 2017.  We are looking for defence practitioner volunteers willing to be shadowed on these days.

This is invaluable research to understand defence practitioner interactions with clients, CJS agencies and the tools they use.

The vision of the Common Platform is that the defendant’s plea can be indicated online prior to the first hearing. We would like to understand how this is currently being done, what factors influence this and are there any changes that could be made to improve the process.

If you are willing to be shadowed on any of the above dates please contact Leanne Galbraith via email or telephone 07739 432 754.
