Here is the latest information on the A63 Castle Street

With major concrete pours complete, we'll start on roadworks over the coming months. 

After an August pause, we're planning overnight closures through September and October.

No eastbound closures - 1 to 4 September

Due to programme changes, we no longer need A63 eastbound closures from Monday 1 to Thursday 4 September. 

Closures

We've scheduled these closures to take place Monday to Friday, 8pm to 6am alongside some weekend closures:

Friday 5 Sept

Closure eastbound only.

Friday 5 Sept to Monday 8 Sept, 6am

No exit from A63 to Princes Dock St

Monday 8 Sept – Friday 12 Sept

Closure eastbound only.

Friday 12 Sept to Monday 15 Sept, 6am

No exit from A63 to Princes Dock St.

Monday 15 Sept – Friday 19 Sept

Full closure east and westbound.

Monday 22 Sept – Friday 26 Sept

Full closure east and westbound

Monday 29 Sept – Friday 3 Oct

Full closure east and westbound.

Monday 6 Oct – Thursday 9 Oct

Full closure east and westbound

Monday 20 Oct – Friday 24 Oct

Full closure east and westbound

Weekend closure Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October

Closure westbound only – reopening Monday 27 Oct, 6am

Diversion

A fully signed diversion will be in place via the:

  • A15
  • A164
  • A1079
  • and A1033 for eastbound traffic

For westbound traffic follow the above vice versa.

8pm Monday 20 October to 6am Tuesday 18 November - Queen Street exit slip road

Queen Street exit slip road from the A63 westbound closed after Myton Bridge. There will be a signposted diversion route.
