National Highways M3 Bagshot Heath footbridge Update

Here is the latest information on the M3 Bagshot Heath footbridge

New July date confirmed for bridge installation and M3 closure

We will be installing the new bridge over the Frimley and Bagshot stretch of the M3 on the weekend of Friday 11 – Monday 14 July.

The start time of the closure will be staggered but the motorway will be closed in both directions between junction 3 for Bagshot and junction 4 for Frimley for the whole weekend.

A signed diversion route will be in place but we advise everyone to allow extra time for their journeys. All roads close to the closure and around Blackwater, Bagshot, Camberley, and Windlesham will be much busier than usual.

Closure times

Friday 11 July

• 12 noon - M3 junction 3 southbound entry slip road closes
• 7pm - M3 J4 to 3 northbound (London-bound) carriageway closes
• 9pm - M3 J3 to 4 southbound carriageway closes 

Monday 14 July

We'll reopen all carriageways by 6am.
