Here’s our latest update on the work we’ve got planned on the A12 this week.

Please note that these dates are subject to change at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances or poor weather conditions.

Work underway:

A12 Margaretting Bypass junctions 13 to 15 – Tuesday 21 until Friday 24 February 2023

We’re rebuilding the A12 Margaretting Bypass between junctions 13 and 15.

Junction 13 to 16 northbound closed Tuesday night between 8pm and 6am.

Junction 13 to 16 southbound closed each night from Wednesday to Friday between 8pm and 6am.

A12 Chelmsford to A120 widening scheme – Tuesday 21 to Friday 24 February 2023

We’re widening the A12 between junction 19 and 25 to ease congestion and cope with increasing traffic demands.

Tuesday 21 to Thursday 23 February (9pm to 6am)

• Northbound lane 1 and 2 closed between junction 19 and 20B

Friday 24 February (9pm to 6am)

• Southbound lane 1 closed between junction 21 and 20A

A120 Stanstead to Braintree – Tuesday 21 February until Thursday 9 March 2023

We’re carrying out essential resurfacing work and safety barrier renewal on the A120 between Stansted and Braintree.

Dunmow West Interchange to Panners Interchange eastbound will continue to be closed weeknights until Thursday 9 March, between 8pm and 6am.

A12 junction 25 Marks Tey concrete roads reconstruction - Tuesday 21 to Friday 24 February

We're reconstructing the A12 between junctions 25 (Marks Tey) and 26 (Stanway).

The northbound carriageway at junction 25 Marks Tey will be closed each night between 9pm and 5am.

A12 maintenance work between junction 25 and 32 - Tuesday 21 February until Monday 17 April 2023

We’re carrying out a range of maintenance work on the A12 between junction 25 and junction 32.

The southbound carriageway from junction 32 to 29 will be closed weeknights only until Monday 17 April 2023, between 9pm and 5am.

Wednesday 1 to Friday 3 March (9pm to 6am)

• Southbound lane 1 closed between junction 21 and 20A
