Here is the latest information on the A12 road closure round-up

Here’s our latest update on the work we’ve got planned on the A12 this week.

Please note that these dates are subject to change at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances or poor weather conditions.

Work underway:

A12 Margaretting Bypass junctions 13 to 15 – Wednesday 25 until Saturday 28 January

We’re rebuilding the A12 Margaretting Bypass between junctions 13 and 15.

 Wednesday 25 to Thursday 26 January

• The southbound carriageway will be fully closed each evening between junction 13 and 16 from 8pm to 6am.

 Friday 27 January

• The northbound carriageway will be fully closed between junction 13 and 16 from 8pm to 6am.

Saturday 28 January         

• The exit slip road at junction 15 will be fully closed from 8pm to 6am.

A12 Chelmsford to A120 widening scheme – Wednesday 25 until Friday 25 January 2023

We’re widening the A12 between junction 19 and 25 to ease congestion and cope with increasing traffic demands.

 Wednesday 25 to Friday 27 January

• The southbound lane 1 closed between junction 22 and junction 20a will be closed from 9pm to 6am.

A120 Stanstead to Braintree – Wednesday 25 until Friday 27 January 2023

We’re carrying out essential resurfacing work and safety barrier renewal on the A120 between Stansted and Braintree.

Dunmow West Interchange to Little Canfield is closed westbound overnight Monday to Thursday from 8pm to 6am. 

Little Canfield to Dunmow West Interchange is closed eastbound overnight Thursday and Friday from 8pm to 6am.

A12 junction 25 Marks Tey concrete roads reconstruction - Friday 27 January 2023

We're rebuilding the A12 between junctions 25 (Marks Tey) and 26 (Stanway).

Junction 25 to 26 northbound will be fully closed from 9pm until 5am.

The northbound junction 25 slip road at Marks Tey will be full closed from 5am Saturday 28 January 2023.

The southbound carriageway will be fully closed between junction 13 and 15 overnight from 8pm until 6am, Monday through to Saturday.

• Southbound lane 1 closed between junction 22 and 20a from 9pm to 6am
• Southbound junction 22 entry slip road closed from 9pm to 6am
• Southbound junction 21 entry and exit slip roads closed from 9pm to 6am
• Southbound junction 20B exit slip road closed from 9pm to 6am
• Southbound junction 20A entry slip road closed from 9pm to 6am

Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 February

• Northbound lane 2 closed between junction 18 and 19 from 9pm to 6am
• Northbound junction 19 entry slip road closed from 9pm to 6am
• Northbound junction 20A exit slip road closed from 9pm to 6am
• Northbound junction 20B entry slip road closed from 9pm to 6am

Friday 3 February

• Northbound lane 1 and 2 closed between junction 19 and 20B from 9pm to 6am

The northbound junction 25 slip road at Marks Tey will be full closed from 5am Saturday 28 January until 5am Monday 6 February 2023.
