M48 | Severn Bridge | Both Directions | Strong Winds | Closed

The M48 Severn Bridge is closed in both directions between J1 (Aust, England) and J2 (Chepstow, Wales) due to strong winds in the region expected overnight. 

In addition there is a Met Office Yellow Alert in place for heavy rainfall.

Motorists travelling between England and Wales should use the M4 Prince of Wales Second Severn Crossing as an alternative route and allow additional time for their journey.
