We’re half way through the six-month formal examination period, as part of the Development Consent Order (DCO) planning process. Find the very latest information on the Planning Inspectorate’s website.

Also, the Government has just given us the go-ahead to start looking for potential contractors to build the scheme. This is happening in tandem with the planning process to allow construction to start on site as scheduled in 2021 (if the scheme gets the green light). Find out more on our website

We’ve recently started some new ground investigation survey work along the route of our proposed scheme. These are separate to the ongoing DCO process, and are needed to gather more detailed information so construction companies have a complete picture when they build the scheme.
