Our contractors Balfour Beatty are in the last few weeks of site works on our A14 and M11 programme of essential works. The main work over the last two weeks has been the replacement of the bridge joints on the A1307 Huntingdon Road Bridge in both directions. This work was completed over a weekend and a series of overnight midweek full carriageway closures has gone well and has been completed ahead of schedule.
Next week we are working on the A14 westbound between junction 24 and 23 to replace the existing bridge joint, traffic loop counter commissioning work on the A14 eastbound junction 27A, 33 and also on the M11 junction 13 entry slip road north and southbound junction 13 exit slip road. We are also working on the A1307 to resurface the central reservation and seed the verges. In addition to this work we have surfacing work on the Cambridge Road Madingley.
Here's the current schedule of works that Balfour Beatty are carrying out on behalf of Highways England. Remember schedules may change at short notice, for example due to bad weather.
