Funding remains available through the council’s Business Grant Scheme, which supports local businesses to start, grow and invest in Hyndburn.
Delivered by the Economic Development team, the programme offers practical financial support for businesses at different stages of their journey.
Start-up grants of up to £2,000 are available for new and early-stage businesses. Growth grants of up to £5,000 are available for established businesses looking to expand, create jobs or invest in new opportunities.
The scheme has already helped a wide range of Hyndburn businesses move forward, supporting entrepreneurship, innovation and local economic growth.
Businesses based outside the borough may also be eligible if they are looking to relocate or expand into Hyndburn.

In July, Hyndburn Borough Council completed its 19th student placement of the 2025/26 academic year.
The final placement was with a Year 12 A level student, who spent a full day with the Economic Development team to learn more about local government and business support.
Work placements create meaningful opportunities for young people and also feed into the 'Get Hyndburn Working' campaign which aims to improve employment prospects for residents in the borough.
We have launched a short survey asking local businesses to share their experience of offering placements.
The findings will be shared with local and national government to help shape future policy and strengthen employment support in Hyndburn.
As an added incentive, the council will donate £2 to a local charity for every completed survey.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced tennis provider to help grow participation and promote healthy lifestyles across Hyndburn and Rossendale.
Hyndburn Borough Council and Rossendale Borough Council are inviting expressions of interest from individuals, clubs, businesses and community organisations to deliver a comprehensive tennis coaching and activation programme across nine recently refurbished public courts.
The successful provider will deliver inclusive and affordable coaching for all ages and abilities (with the potential to generate income from these), community outreach initiatives designed to engage new participants. The programme will also include weekly Barclays Free Park Tennis sessions and Barclays Big Tennis Weekend events at each venue.
Applicants should outline their relevant experience, vision for community engagement, proposed partnerships and any income-generating opportunities for the councils.

The Economic Development team worked closely with the Department for Work and Pensions, Lancashire Skills Hub and a range of local partners to deliver a three-day redundancy support and jobs fair following the announcement of BT/EE call centre closures in Accrington and Blackburn.
With support from Scott Dawson Advertising and East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, the event reached a wide network of employers, training providers and support organisations. Around 700 people facing redundancy were able to access job opportunities, careers advice, training information and wider employment support.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this collaborative response. By bringing partners together quickly, the council helped ensure that affected employees could explore practical next steps and connect with organisations ready to support them.
A number of local businesses are playing a key role in the final stages of the Accrington Town Square redevelopment, helping to bring the transformed market to life ahead of its opening.
