Music Festival in Accrington

Come along to Hyndburn Sound, a music festival organised by Accrington Community Events. Saturday 10th September starting at 12:45pm. 

There will be some great live music from local artists as well as food and drink stalls. Check out Accrington Community Events' Facebook page for live updates around the line-up and set times!

Call for artists and artisans - Haworth Exhibition

2022 sees the return of the ‘Haworth Art Gallery Open’ following a hiatus of two years due to the pandemic.

The Open has been a long-standing part of the exhibition calendar which showcases the talents of local and regional artists. Artists are invited to submit two works each from mixed disciplines including painting, illustration, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, and photography.

Whale washes up in Accrington

A huge whale installation took place in Accrington to raise awareness of plastic pollution in the oceans and offer a great day of family fun. The event was funded by Hyndburn Borough Council and invited families to take part for free, as one of the many summer events hosted on the Town Square this year.
