Our bin crews will be out on bank holiday
There will be no change to collections on Friday 8 May, which will be a bank holiday to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
Householders are reminded to put their bins out ready for collection by 7am on their scheduled day for crews from Norse South East to collect.
Don't bottle it up
During the bank holiday weekend, you may find that you have more glass than usual, that needs to be recycled.
If you find a bottle bank is full please take your glass home with you and return again soon.
Please do not leave your empties in bags or boxes alongside the bin.
Keep in contact
The council's Customer Services Contact Centre is open until 5pm on Thursday 7 May.

If you need to contact us outside of this time there is a limited emergency out of hours service.
There is also a list of emergency contacts which will help with incidents that fall outside of the council's remit.
Homelessness
If you know someone who is homeless and in need of housing, we may be able to assist them out of hours.

Doing our bit during coronavirus
Since lockdown we’ve all been going above and beyond to ensure our most vulnerable residents and businesses get the support they need.
So far we've helped 917 businesses, 556 vulnerable people (number we've helped was accurate on Friday 1 May 2020, but this is constantly changing), and supported five food banks in the borough with weekly deliveries as well as continue to give 100% service for rubbish, recycling and garden waste collections, street cleaning, grounds maintenance and building control.
